When the impossible seems possible!

The year was 2008 (as far as I remember) when my love for superheroes began! This crazy friend and I would spend sleepless nights watching ‘Smallville’, the epic sitcom on the most amazing superhero, and my all-time favourite- SUPERMAN! Though the love for him could possibly be coz he was my 1st ;) Dunno what I liked most about him though, was it his irresistible good looks, his super cute smile, or the fact that he was always there for people he loved. Clark Kent always reminds me of my best friend, and that’s what I called him too! (an inside secret..ssshhh). I knew that just like Louis, I was always safe if my Clark was around. I had a plan, but life had a different one for me!!

Ok so moving on, after Smallville, I didn’t really get hooked on to any superhero for a long time. Comedy took the best of me! Friends, BBT, HIMYM, Modern Family became my days & nights. These shows taught me how to be there for a friend, how to never give up on love, how to always stay connected to your family and how it’s perfectly acceptable to be crazy even if your test results showed otherwise!

And then last year brought a stint of intellectual sitcoms in my life, starting with ‘Suits’. Jaw droppingly handsome guys in well-dressed suits talking about law. Ya obviously I didn’t get the technicality of what they spoke, but just watching them was a delightful treat in itself.  And the equation between Donna and Harvey always made me melt inside. So warm, so real!

But then the superheroes got back! Yeahhhh!! My self-proclaimed rockstar husband gifted me ‘The Arrow’! I am not quite sure if I liked the series that much or was it coz I saw the show with hubby that got me hooked on to it. I loved the way he called me from office and I would set up the next episode so that we could start watching the minute he got back from work. The thrill started way before I hit play on my keyboard and continued even after the episode ended. We would watch 4-5 episodes back to back without getting tired. Wow what an amazing time to be alive! Arrow is nice & smart but the character I love the most on that show is Felicity Smoak. Kinda reminds me of me. No, no don’t get me wrong, I am not even 1/10th as smart as she is, but the way she talks is pretty cute. Goes on & on, at times to herself & at times with others. So adorable. And today I saw the 1st episode of ‘The Flash’. Speed indeed is a good super power to have. But if I was given a choice I would pick teleportation and/or invisibility (depending on how generous lightning bolts, meteor showers, radioactive insects, etc. are to me!) So ya I hope Barry Allen doesn’t disappoint me, though his cute looks do seem pretty promising ;)

PS: Really waiting for some kickass-supergirl sitcom to get addicted to!
